Sticker quotes vary wildly mainly because of physical properties like waterproofing or scratch resistance

Whenever clients bring me quotes from other shops to compare, the first thing I do is check if they are comparing basic paper to special synthetic materials

Materials make up a huge chunk of total sticker costs. Picking the wrong one wastes money and can cause the stickers to fail on the products

Based on the orders running most often on my production line, coated paper stickers are the go-to budget-friendly choice

Since it has a coated surface, the paper does not soak up too much ink, which makes colors pop beautifully

If you are labeling bottles or jars for room-temperature products, the material cost for 10,000 coated paper stickers is very affordable

But if you need to label frozen food, you must switch to waterproof, tear-resistant pearlescent paper or synthetic materials, which naturally drives up the price

So, before placing an order, make sure you know how the product will be used. Do you need waterproofing, resistance to temperature changes, or does it need to go on a curved surface?

To keep foil stamping from bleeding, keep your line widths above 0.2mm and avoid fine-art papers with heavy textures

Usually, the machine or iron needs to stay around 150 degrees Celsius with even, heavy pressure for 10 to 15 seconds

If the heat is too low, the edges will lift after a few washes. If it is too high, it will scorch the fabric, turning it yellow and stiff

To save money, choose your printing method based on quantity. Go with custom runs for large volumes, digital or gang runs for small batches, and skip unnecessary finishes
